Quote of the day; "This is harder than childbirth!" and no it wasn't me that said that!
Fast and furious - interesting that there was quite a bit that I do in my day to day doings at both school and at home.
Great to see a mixture of abilities - I thought that I would be the only dinosaur here, but no..... that was the first pleasant surprise.
Manaiakalani; enjoyed hearing the story of where the name came from. Not being from Christchurch and never having been involved with a Manaiakalani cluster previously I found the explanation really helpful.
Todays Learnings; moving around the google dashboard has encouraged me to be a little more adventurous. Some of the workings of today I am familiar with, a lot I didn't even know were there. I am very much a person, if I don't use something all the time I lose it! I am looking forward to having time to play with the apps that we have used today, reading the notes in more depth and taking the time to digest.
Organising and categorising through google groups was particularly advantageous for me as I have folders, sheets etc, all over the place and find locating 'stuff' quite difficult. Making sure that each is dated '21 first is a great idea. Learning that an asterisk takes precedence over numbers which take precedence over letters was interesting. This will be helpful with both professional and personal life.
Kia ora Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI missed that quote! Haha, would love to hear who said it! I'm sure having your Google Drive more organised will be really useful for you. Being able to find things quickly really does save so much time. I find going to the folder first and then creating the doc means I don't have to remember to file things later.

ReplyDeleteIt is exciting to hear you getting the story of Manaiakalani first hand. Our school has had quite a journey before we arrived and its good to catch up with it. Well done Deb.
